just an optical illusion! remix.

Some time ago I wrote, that I'm not a big fan from Minolta. Today I must confess that I changed my opinion about Minolta. In the last time I bought some cameras from them and learned to like them a lot.
But with the X-series I had some problems, because I never found a working camera. First I bought a Minolta XG-M, than two Carena SX-300, which is a labeled Seagull DF-300, which is in fact a Minolta X-300 made in China. All three cameras had the same and often occurring defect, a broken capacitor. After some time I finally found a working Minolta X-300s, which was built by Seagull for Minolta in the 1990s.

Well this post is not only about my search for Minoltas, but rather about a new photomontage.
This time I mixed pictures from a landscape in Karlsruhe with a picture from my girlfriend, which I shot in Cologne
The landscapes were shot with the Minolta X-300s and the Minolta 3.5-4.8/28-70mm lens (from the Minolta XG-M) on AgfaPhoto Vista+ 200 film. The picture of my girlfriend I shot with the Minolta 7000AF and a Tokina 4-5.6/70-210mm lens on an expired and crossed Kodak Ektachrome 400x.
The photomontage consits of 10 C-Prints in the size 10x15cm. The total size is 23x48,5cm.

Posing for Tichý.

I like the shabby look of the pictures by Miroslav Tichý, because the atmosphere is like in a dream or in a fairy tale. Last time when the weather was foggy I shot some pictures with the red Konica Pop of my girlfriend and a AgfaPhoto APX 100 black&white film, also from my girlfriend. She already shot some pictures, which I'll show at the beginning.

"Photography is painting with light! The blurs, the spots, those are errors! But the errors are part of it, they give it poetry and turn it into painting. And for that you need as bad a camera as possible! If you want to be famous, you have to do whatever you're doing worse than anyone else in the whole world."

The cliche of Lomography.

Of course, I don't want to make fun of the lomography movement, but there are some cliches about them, for example to use old films, to cross slide films, to shoot from the hip, to create double exposures, don't follow the photographic rules and so on. I think many lomographers want to have fun when they're shooting. It's photography with the fun factor and in my eyes this is what matters.
Well, this time I wanted to do as many cliches I could do. Therefore I used my Lomo LC-A with an, since 2007, expired DM Paradies Dia 100 slide film, which is a labeled Agfachrome CTx100, made some double exposures and let the film be crossed.

And yes, lomography makes a great fun!!! :)

For the second part I used a Migros Mcolor 100 film, which is in fact a labeld Fuji Super HR and is expired since 06/1992. Because of the age of the Migros I shot it @ ISO 25. The camera I used was once more the Praktica Super TL in combination with the Steinheil Auto Cassaron 2.8/50mm lens. In the first part I used the Carena CA 21 flash also with a red filter, but in the second part I just used it without filter.

Posing for Schiele. part 1.

I'm a big Egon Schiele fan for years, therefore I ever wanted to create pictures inspired from his art, especially in the hand positions in his works.

I shot the pictures with the Praktica Super TL in combination with the Steinheil Auto Cassaron 2.8/50mm lens. The first film was a Fuji C200 and the second film I used was an expired Migros Mcolor 100 film. For both films I used the Carena CA 21 flash and at the first film I also used the flash with the red filter.
