Some years ago I wanted to build a panoramic camera out of an old ICA folding camera. Unfortunately I gave up the idea, because in this time I still lived in Brazil and it was too difficult to get the right lens for it, it was simply too expensive.
But some time ago I bought a simple point-and-shoot Panasonic C-335 EF camera, which has a panorama feature.I've loaded it with a Kodak Farbwelt 400, expired since 10/2009.

DIY: A Panoramic Camera - Part 8
Yes, after nearly one year I continue with the ICA Project.
But for the moment just with a tripod for the panoramic camera.
I found a heavy tripod for a dumpy level in my tool shed. I think it's for a dumpy level, which is broken, because the tripod for my current dumpy level is in the case with the dumpy level.
But okay, now it's the tripod for my panoramic ICA.
The construction of the head of the tripod is a little bit different to the photographic tripods. But it's easy to fix the camera with a normal screw at the tripod:

Of course, I built a L-bracket for vertical shots:

The tripod is really heavy:

An old and broken frame.
Two years ago I found a broken frame in the botanic garden in Timbó, near the barbecue area. Perhaps some folk used it to kindle the fire. I don't know, but I took the remains along.
I put them in the tool shed and forgot the frame for a long time. But yesterday as I tidied up the shed I found the pieces and decided to repair the frame.
Here we go!
I needed to cut the parts a little bit, but now I've got a wonderful panoramic frame in the size (picture size) 39x11 cm.
Yes, the size is a little bit unusual :)

Now I have to finish my DIY panoramic camera ;)

DIY: A Panoramic Camera - Part 7
Yesterday and today I've built a panoramic finder.
I've built it out of the roof of the Dacora, a bicycle wrench and a plastic piece of a washing machine.
The result seems very very very strange and ridiculous, but it carries out one's duty.

DIY: A Panoramic Camera - Part 6
One of my schoolteachers always said:
"The most difficult questions have got the easiest responses. Never think too complicated!"
Therefore I've found a solution to the film-format-problem.
It was very simple. For the left side I've used two chopsticks:

The right side was a little bit more difficult, but I had a similar problem with my Zorki 4, 'cause I lost the take-up spool. At the Zorki I've used a piece of a spool for fax paper. But the fax spool is wider as the original spool, therefore I can only use films with maximal 24 frames.

For the ICA I cut the 120-spool and the fax-paper spool and stuffed the 120- into the fax paper-spool.

It works!
Yes, this is the Tichý-Style!
