just an optical illusion!

Inspired by the famous picture "The Brooklyn Bridge" by David Hockney and the wonderful works of Thomas Kellner my girlfriend and I created some photomontages in the wonderful Südstadt of Cologne, where we live.
First it was a little bit tricky to coordinate in which order to photograph the scenes, because we also wanted to create the photo index like one picture. In the past I created two one-picture-photo-index works with Photoshop:
"fotoindex 57", brasil, 2009

Now I used my Minolta SRT 101 with a Soligor S/M 3.9-4.8/28-70 mm Macro MC lens.
I shot different scenes. For every scene I shot one film, therefore one scene consists of +/-36 pictures. The films I used were a Fuji Superia 100, a Fuji C200 and two Fuji Superia 200.

As you can see it is really difficult to shoot in the right way to create a right photo index, but the montages are very cool:

The instax style.

Making-of picture
My girlfriend and I are participating at the instax-WIDE-300-Testaktion 2016 from the German PhotoKlassik magazine and Fujifilm.
Our idea is to use the instax wide 300 camera with different filters like effect and color filters, which aren't made for the instax system.
Of course we can't show now our pictures which we will send in, but we just want to show some of the out sorted pictures.

Hama Macro +10

The colors of the original instax photos are much more vivid as the scans shown here.
It was really a great fun to use the instax camera with different filter, because in this way you can create really cool pictures.
We like to use the instax wide 300 a lot!

See part 2 with the out selected pictures here.

lucky days.

Lucky days are when you find at Ebay a wonderful camera for a very cheap price. Some time ago I found a Mamiya 528TL with the wide & tele accessory lenses and a Revue Automatic Super8 - 325 camera just some minutes before the auction ended.
It seemed as if the seller had no idea of cameras, because he didn't indicate which cameras he is selling and just wrote "cameras" in the offer. His pictures were also very poor.
Because of this the actual bid was only one Euro and some seconds before the end of the auction I gave my bid of 1,51 Euro and won it. I was very surprised and very happy.
I count always to the price the postage to get the real value. Therefore I paid 6,50 Euro for both cameras (4,99 was the postage), so 3 Euro for each camera and 0,50 Euro for the accessory lenses. Until now my cheapest SLR was the Revueflex (Zenit 3M) for 5 Euro.

I like a lot leaf shutter SLRs and love to shoot with my Contaflex. But the shutter of the Mamiya is very loud for a leaf shutter.

Inside the Mamiya was an Agfa XR100 without DX encoding, which was introduced in 1983, therefore this film is certainly older than 33 years. Of course, I shot the film till the end and took him to the development, but the film was certainly too old, not a single photo gained life.
Pity, but there can't give only lucky days....

Last year I made some sandwiches for the new album "ABSTRAKTION" of the Brazilian musician Binäre.

Now he released it and you can hear it at his soundcloud. Check it out!!!!

the macro effect: the monster macro setup. part 2.

Like in the first part I used the Panagor extension tube set (11mm, 18mm + 36mm), but this time with a Universa Interflex TL, which is like the Porst reflex TL made by Cosina. The Interflex TL is in fact a Cosina Hi-Lite, just the shutter button is different.
In combination with the camera and the extension tubes I used a Auto Revuetar 2.8/50mm and an expired DM Paradies 200 made by Kodak.
